Planning and Events Coordinator

Department: Marketing
Location: Rexburg, ID

Do you enjoy working with a variety of people inside and outside the company? Do you have a knack for organizing, and planning? The Planning and Events Coordinator will work with our Sales & Marketing team to ensure projects get done on time and under budget. Participates in the planning, organization, and execution of events for both internal and external stakeholders. Coordinates Sponsored events (ICC, PRI) and all related materials. Interfaces with, and provides support to, individuals from various internal departments and external companies. They will also be responsible for handling correspondence with clients and communicating with marketing, accounting and other departments within the company to keep events and related campaigns on track.

Where youíll spend your time:

  • Support the Sales & Marketing departments by scheduling and organizing the creation of website content
  • Work with the Credit team to help deliver consistent reporting on Vendor Market funds that meets specifications from Corporate
  • Prepare letters and emails to clients in response to questions or to provide clarification on ongoing projects
  • Monitor industry news and submit reports on emerging trends to management each month
  • Work with Sales & Marketing team to coordinate day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks
  • Understand requirements for each event and plan events with attention to financial and time constraints. Act quickly to resolve problems or concerns
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
  • Assist in the coordination and management of all event operations (preparing venue, invitations etc.)
  • Evaluate eventís success through various means and submit reports after the completion of the even
  • Manage all market development funds and update on Monthly and Quarterly status
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed

You have / Are:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelorís degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (preferred)
  • 1+ years experience working in a related office setting (preferred)
  • Negotiating Ė Has ability to apply basic negotiating principals and ability to explain the best interest of both parties.
  • Excellent time management & project prioritization; knowing & managing lead times
  • Critical thinking & decision-making skills
  • Strict attention to detail (including for proof-reading, brand standards, and data management)
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint (required)
  • Team Oriented - helps build consensus amount team members
  • Achievement Oriented - you are driven, bring energy, are results oriented, and relentless in the pursuit of ambitious but realistic personal and business goals
  • Communication Ė listening and communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with different audiences, promoting dialogue and building consensus, and fosters two-way communication.
